About Us

​Fakültemiz, 2011 tarihinde kurulmuştur. Aynı yıl Üniversitemiz Rektörlüğünün Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi bünyesinde bölüm ve anabilim dalları açılmasına yönelik teklifi, 16.06.2011 tarihli Yükseköğretim Yürütme Toplantısı’nda incelenmiş ve 2547 sayılı kanunun 2880 sayılı kanunla değişik 7/d-2. maddesi uyarınca Fen-Edebiyat Fakültesi bünyesinde 11 bölüm açılması uygun görülmüştür.

​Our faculty graduated its first students at the end of the 2016-2017 academic year with the History Department, which started education with 30 students in the 2013-2014 academic year. Again, the History Department started accepting students with the evening program in the 2016-2017 academic year. At the same time, the Department of History opened thesis-based Master's degree in the 2016-2017 academic year, non-thesis-based Master's degree in the 2017-2018 academic year, and again, the Doctorate program in the 2017-2018 academic year.

​In addition to the Department of History, the Department of Mathematics started undergraduate education with 20 students in the 2016-2017 academic year, and the Department of Turkish Language and Literature started undergraduate education with 61 students in the 2017-2018 academic year. In addition, the Department of Mathematics accepted students within the scope of the Master's and Doctorate programs in the 2017-2018 academic year.

​In addition, the Department of Biochemistry was established as a result of the decision taken at the Higher Education Executive Board Meeting dated 02.08.2017 in accordance with the proposal to open departments and main branches within the Faculty of Arts and Sciences and in accordance with article 7/d-2 of Law No. 2547 amended by Law No. 2880
