Faculty Secretary
The faculty secretary is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising and carrying out the administrative work of the faculty in accordance with the legislation. In addition to all administrative work inside and outside the university, the faculty secretary undertakes a wide range of duties such as personnel management, document tracking, budget preparation, correspondence, performance evaluations and organizing faculty body meetings. In addition, the faculty secretary ensures the efficient work of the staff by ensuring effective cooperation and coordination between units within the faculty. In this context, the faculty secretary continues its work to ensure that administrative processes are carried out regularly and effectively and supports the academic mission of the faculty.

Duties and Responsibilities of the Faculty Secretary
Plan, execute, coordinate, and supervise the tasks under responsibility in an orderly and harmonious manner, in accordance with the relevant regulations.
- Carry out all administrative tasks of the faculty, both within the university and externally.
- Organize the division of labor among the administrative, technical, and auxiliary service staff within the faculty.
- Perform the role of the Implementation Officer as per Article 33 of the Public Financial Management and Control Law No. 5018.
- Hold periodic meetings with administrative staff and take necessary measures to ensure their efficient work.
- Ensure the registration, internal forwarding, and completion of incoming documents.
- Approve and authenticate necessary documents.
- Evaluate and respond to requests from faculty units, and ensure the proper direction of administrative services.
- Carry out the duties of the disciplinary supervisor for administrative staff in the faculty.
- Prepare the agenda for the Faculty Board and Management Board meetings and attend the meetings as a rapporteur without voting rights (in accordance with Article 51/c of the Higher Education Law No. 2547).
- Review all types of documents and letters originating from faculty units.
- Plan the staffing needs of the faculty and make recommendations to the Dean.
- Conduct all internal and external correspondence of the faculty according to the designated workflow.
- Plan, approve, and submit annual leave for administrative staff to the Dean's office.
- Prepare the faculty's annual budget and ensure the efficient and economic use of resources in accordance with the savings measures during the year.
- Plan and monitor the procurement of goods and services needed by the faculty.
- Improve the working conditions of the administrative staff and ensure coordination among them.
- Take measures to ensure harmony, respect, and cooperation among the staff.
- Evaluate the performance of staff, encourage their participation in in-service training to enhance their performance.
- Assist the Dean in preparing the faculty's budget, monitoring the related processes, and ensuring that necessary measures are taken regarding the budget’s usage.
